Job Description

• Drive new product partnership innovation with Stripe’s most critical card network partners, with a focus on executing joint initiatives and launching new offerings that benefit Stripe users • Negotiate commercial agreements with card network partners that impact Stripe and its users’ cost of payments acceptance • Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies, and execute deals and initiatives that support Stripe’s strategy • Influence both internal product teams and external stakeholders to modify or build innovative solutions that fit the modern day payments landscape and deliver more secure yet seamless merchant and consumer experiences • Gather inputs from and coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, engineering, treasury) to drive creation and execution of product partnership strategy • Reconcile competing priorities to drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal across multiple stakeholders • Ensure sound execution of day-to-day operations and adherence to risk and compliance obligations • Represent Stripe at partner and industry events, building close personal relationships with key partner stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate development or related field
  • 5+ years of experience related to payments or card networks
  • Thorough understanding of card network dynamics and business models
  • Broad and deep experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences and go to market models
  • Experience working in a product centric environments with significant internal and external dependencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally across a wide variety of functions, including at the C level.
