Job Description

Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together. So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions - to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale. Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes - large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same. The Role As a Software Engineering Intern , you will work with firmware engineers on Square's Connected Hardware products. With mentorship and guidance, you'll contribute to the development, testing, and debugging of embedded software used in Square's hardware ecosystem. This internship is designed to give you hands-on experience with real-world embedded systems, expose you to production-quality firmware, and provide you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to products that the company ships. You Will Contribute code to embedded firmware running on resource-constrained devices Help develop and maintain drivers, features, or system components under guidance from senior engineers Learn and apply best practices in embedded software development, including code reviews, documentation, and testing Write and run tests to validate firmware behavior and product features Use debugging tools to investigate and help resolve firmware issues Collaborate with partners such as electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams Gain exposure to communication protocols and hardware/software integration You Have Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a graduation date between May 2027 and May 2030 Recent bootcamp graduates and engineering training participants are also considered within three months of completing program/training requirements

ML Engineer, RL & Autonomous Discovery

Terray Therapeutics

Chemistry is the key to drug discovery, but chemical data is stuck in the twentieth century. We’re generating precise chemical datasets purpose-built to propel drug discovery into the information age — and we’re doing it on a larger scale and faster than has ever before been possible. Terray Therapeutics is a biotechnology company led by pioneers and long-time leaders in artificial intelligence, synthetic (medicinal) chemistry, biology and preclinical development, automation, and nanotechnology. Chemical datasets generated using our novel ultra-dense microarray technology work seamlessly with our integrated machine learning and computational platform to systematically map biochemical interactions between small molecules and causes of disease. Iterative cycles of virtual molecular design and experimentation power AI and machine learning models, which in turn guide the next cycle of design. With a chemistry engine that measures billions of interactions daily and becomes increasingly precise with every cycle, we can answer an unprecedented array of questions — deriving insights that enable us to predictably create drugs for patients in need.
