Job Description
• Responsible for the development, maintenance, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data to support organizational decision-making, planning, and operations
• Applies geographic information systems (GIS) technology to collect, manage, analyze, and present spatial and non-spatial data in support of projects across departments
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to deliver accurate, high-quality mapping products and spatial analysis that drive strategic and operational outcomes
• Collaborates with IT teams to support GIS server environments, web services, and enterprise systems
• Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and security
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in geography, geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial science, environmental science, urban planning, engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional experience using GIS software (e.g., Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS)
- Experience performing spatial analysis and managing geodatabases
- Experience with Python, ModelBuilder, SQL, or other scripting/automation tools
- Familiarity with enterprise GIS environments and ArcGIS Server
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills
- Ability to interpret technical documents, maps, and plans
- Must be self-motivated/self-directed as this is the only GIS role within the organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travel
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
