Summary As a Clinical Informaticist, you will serve as a clinical lab expert to ensure the safe delivery of eClinicalWorks healthcare technology products. You will help drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for technology that powers client success and business growth.   Your mission will be to play an integral part in the release of high-quality customer-focused Products that set the bar for patient safety. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related science required; Master’s degree preferred MLS, MLT, and/or other lab related credentials Currently certified by ASCP or equivalent/similar certification/license preferred Minimum of 5+ years of healthcare laboratory experience in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting (reference lab, hospital, clinic) utilizing various LIS platform We are looking for candidates who have developed clinical informatics skills through laboratory practice. Experience: Served as a departmental LIS resource, providing technical support and troubleshooting Served as a clinical lead, super user, or go-live support during a major LIS implementation Built/validated laboratory test content in LIS (test codes, reference ranges, result formats) Configured/validated auto-verification rules, critical value alerts, delta checks, or reflex testing logic Troubleshot interfaces between LIS and EHR, or between instruments and LIS Worked with IT teams to resolve result delivery or order transmission issues Participated in quality improvement initiatives involving system workflow modifications Conducted/participated in LIS root cause analysis or patient safety investigations involving Generated reports or analyzed data from LIS for quality metrics, regulatory compliance, or operational decisions Maintained validation documentation or audit trails for regulatory purposes (CAP, CLIA) Collaborated with vendors or IT teams as a clinical subject matter expert Trained staff on LIS workflows or system functionality Exposure to AI-assisted laboratory tools (auto-verification, digital morphology, predictive analytics) Participated in evaluation or pilot testing of new laboratory technologies Familiarity with patient safety framework/clinical risk documentation Preferred Skills: Familiarity with interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, V2, CDA) Healthcare regulatory knowledge (ONC, FDA guidance on clinical software, Joint Commission, CAP, CLIA) Project management experience or certification Process improvement methodology experience (Lean, Six Sigma) Laboratory leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience Formal certification or coursework in Clinical Informatics (AMIA, CAHIMS, graduate certificate, or similar) Compensation: Salary Range - $70,000 - $90,000USD This role will receive a competitive salary and benefits. The salary for employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range above, exclusive of potential bonuses.
