Point72 is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to head the Systematic Trading Infrastructure team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the technology infrastructure that supports high-frequency trading (HFT) and systematic strategies across global markets. The role emphasizes leadership, team management, and strategic planning to ensure the infrastructure aligns with the firm’s business objectives and remains at the forefront of technological innovation. What you’ll do Build, lead, and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Define team goals and priorities, ensuring alignment with the firm’s systematic trading strategy and broader business objectives. Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members, enabling them to excel in their roles and grow professionally. Promote cross-functional collaboration with trading teams, quantitative researchers, and application developers to ensure infrastructure solutions meet business needs. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on infrastructure strategy and investments. Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for systematic trading infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage. Oversee infrastructure operations across colocation sites globally, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure access to cutting-edge hardware and software solutions. Provide high-level oversight of Linux systems, network platforms, and storage solutions, ensuring they are optimized for low-latency trading. Ensure infrastructure at colocation sites is designed and maintained to meet the unique demands of high-frequency trading. Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability across infrastructure operations. Implement robust monitoring and troubleshooting processes to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Partner with Compliance to ensure infrastructure complies with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to data security, reliability, and operational risk. The annual base salary range for this role is $275,000-350,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package.
