Job Description

• Reviews biomedical and behavioral research studies for compliance with Federal regulations and institutional policies. • Identifies issues that must be addressed to approve research under expedited procedure. • Communicates with investigators to facilitate the review process. • Maintains working knowledge of current regulations impacting human subject research. • Provides guidance to research coordinators and investigators preparing IRB applications. • Serves as a primary reviewer and voting member of a convened IRB. • Participates in educational presentations to colleagues and at national IRB meetings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Certified IRB Professional (CIP) status required when eligible.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and experience in Human Subject Research (1 Year), Healthcare (1 Year), Clinical Trials.
  • Skills: Adaptability, Clinical Research Coordination, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Medical Knowledge, Microsoft Office, Multitasking, Research Compliance, Scientific Research.
  • No specific work experience is required for this position.
