Job Description
• Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including review, reconciliation, and issue resolution
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policies
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related activities as needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams in a fully remote environment
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls for a growing organization
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred
- Experience in a professional services firm is a plus
- Experience working in a remote environment is preferred
- Working knowledge of general accounting / finance body of knowledge, including General Accounting Principles required.
- Working knowledge of relevant local, state and federal laws required.
- General knowledge of GAAP
- Skilled using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing technical and non-technical information
- Ability to analyze complex, identify problems, evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutions
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files and reports
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
- Must possess strong ability to function independently and collaboratively with co-workers
- Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
