Job Description

• Support research and analysis efforts related to mobility, data analytics, and innovative transportation technologies • Contribute to the development, testing, and refinement of data-driven tools, platforms, and internal applications • Apply programming, data analytics, and technical skills to support analytical workflows, automation, and innovation-focused initiatives • Support data visualization and storytelling efforts to translate technical findings into clear, accessible insights for a range of audiences • Collaborate with project teams across transportation disciplines to support ongoing tasks, special analyses, and ad-hoc project needs • Document methods, findings, and lessons learned in a manner that balances technical rigor with clarity for non-technical stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • At least 30 completed college-level credit hours (preferably in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Public Policy, Computer Science, or related fields)
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and/or project management related tools
  • Experience programming languages, such as Python, PostgreSQL, Java, C, and C++
  • Experienced in working with various platforms, such as Linux, Windows, Android
  • Experience in developing and managing documentation and data analysis
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, ability to solve complex problems, and enthusiasm to learn beyond what is required for daily tasks; a willingness to dive into new topics
  • Capability to extract trends, extrapolate, and understand information from a set of data
  • Technical research skills and ability to work with and understand technical concepts, while also being able to communicate them to varied audiences
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment and a capability to prioritize tasks; strong time management, analytical, and inter-personal skills
