Job Description
Provide technical leadership for the design and development of hardware to support NDR for next-generation networks
Work closely with hardware suppliers and partners to understand and influence roadmaps of servers/systems, key components and technologies, and adjacent products such as switches and span aggregators
Be the technical SME for the leading edge of hardware innovation as it relates to NDR
Collaborate with product management to define customer requirements for hardware products, accounting for feasibility, development/delivery timelines, and maintainability/supportability
Collaborate with other architects and application-level software development teams to define software’s requirements for hardware performance and functionality
Collaborate with other architects and platform-level software development teams to define and plan software changes to support new hardware features/technologies/products
Support building out a team dedicated to delivering and supporting hardware products
Promote a results driven culture, by promoting a culture of collaboration, trust, transparency, and productivity
Job Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge and understanding of the hardware necessary to support NDR at the largest enterprise scale
- Deep experience designing and building enterprise-scale networking hardware products, including collaborating with component vendors and system OEMs/ODMs
- Experience making software highly performant on enterprise-scale hardware
- Deep familiarity with relevant features, performance characteristics, and high-level roadmaps of hardware components and technologies such as x86/ARM server CPUs, PCIe, Ethernet NICs/DPUs/switches, and SSDs/HDDs
- Working knowledge of C/C++
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Preferred: Experience with critical hardware supply chain logistics
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI-related hardware including GPUs and RDMA
- Preferred: Familiarity with hardware-relevant characteristics of high-performance network stacks/frameworks such as the Linux kernel, DPDK, and Nvidia DOCA
- Preferred: Familiarity with applications of FPGAs in high-performance networking
