Job Description
• Drive strategic vision and design strategy for cloud infrastructure experiences at Netflix
• Create cohesive, end-to-end experiences that reduce cognitive load and improve developer productivity
• Define, evangelize, and drive adoption of foundational design patterns and components for infrastructure visualization and management
• Craft intuitive visualizations, customizable dashboards, and interfaces to visualize, configure, and monitor cloud resources
• Design unified interfaces consistent across UI, API, and CLI experiences
• Scope, prototype, validate, and deliver end-to-end design solutions for ambiguous technical workflows
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to influence long-term strategy and technical roadmaps
• Facilitate design workshops and creative sessions with technical stakeholders and drive consensus
• Mentor other designers and establish scalable design practices and foundational patterns
• Articulate and secure buy-in for design visions to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
• Shape initiatives including configuration experiences, guided workflows, efficiency insights, and operational monitoring solutions
Job Requirements
- 14+ years as a Product Designer (or equivalent experience)
- Experience designing cloud infrastructure interfaces, infrastructure management tools, or other technical products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex system design and technical product work with significant strategic impact
- Proven track record of leading design initiatives from concept to launch
- Expert in design tools (Figma, etc.) and prototyping technologies
- Strong systems thinking and ability to design scalable solutions for complex infrastructure challenges
- Experience designing interactive data visualizations and complex system representations
- Experience with dashboard design and information architecture for technical products
- Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code
- Familiarity with modern cloud platforms and infrastructure management approaches
- Understanding of infrastructure automation concepts and their UX implications
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers (coding skills not required)
- Proven track record of influencing and aligning cross-functional partners without direct authority
- Demonstrated success in mentoring designers and improving team practices
- Exceptional ability to navigate ambiguity, define clarity, and drive complex initiatives
- Excellence in communicating design decisions to technical audiences
- Experience with AI/ML-enhanced user experiences a plus
- Comfortable working autonomously and driving initiatives independently
