• Lead and manage a team of software engineers in a high-volume, secure application environment, ensuring consistent delivery and performance • Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, bringing a passion for software engineering and continuous improvement • Prioritize mentorship, coaching, and team development, maintaining a leadership style that encourages autonomy over micromanagement • Balance strategic roadmap execution with team-driven initiatives by actively collaborating with stakeholders, product teams, and project managers • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including non-IT staff and customers, ensuring alignment and clarity • Onboard new engineers quickly and foster an environment where all team members are productive and empowered to grow • Guide the team in leveraging Azure cloud-native technologies, while being proficient in C# and SQL Server development and architecture • Demonstrate hands-on leadership by actively participating in coding, architecture discussions, and the development of key components • Take an active interest in learning how Transcard systems function and interact • Follow the Software Development Lifecycle and assist in defining application development project plans • Assist software engineers, IT Operations, and business teams in resolving application system problems • Communicate with vendor software support personnel to resolve vendor software issues • Architect systems and frameworks and recommend solutions by collaborating with engineering stakeholders • Promote a transparent and proactive environment and advocate for truthfulness in technical decisions and process adherence • Participate in on-call rotation and occasional overtime; occasional travel to Chattanooga, TN as needed
