• Lead risk-based audits across our integrated health system and affiliates • Scope and direct fieldwork on high-risk and technology-enabled processes • Evaluate internal controls for compliance and efficiency • Communicate findings to leadership • Mentor staff • Partner on system implementations and special projects • Plans, leads and performs internal audits in all operational areas and affiliates of the Carilion Clinic • Reviews work of other auditors and completes quarterly reviews on team members • Supervises documentation of internal controls including policies, procedures, security and compliance with regulatory, professional and corporate guidelines • Guides and trains staff members on audit processes and maintains updated training materials for new auditors
