Job Description
• Perform research to advance the state of the art and solve specific problems at scale in areas like Natural Language Processing, Machine and Deep Learning, and Knowledge Graphs
• Work closely with a diverse, interdisciplinary team to deliver value to customers
• Contribute to the research community via publications and program committees
• Focus on human-centered work (context, end-user impact)
• Productionize and ship research into Dataminr’s products
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in AI for cyber security, LLMs, agentic AI, generation, machine translation, summarization, topic detection & tracking, text classification, knowledge extraction/representation/management, trending topic detection, search, machine learning and deep learning
- Outstanding publication record (IEEE, AAAI, NeurIPS, ACL, TACL, EMNLP, WWW)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and set up experiments
- Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks like PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers
- Experience with LLM serving technologies such as vLLM is a plus
- Professional experience in industry (varies by level; recent graduates must have relevant internships)
