Job Description

• Facilitate the development and execution of operational and business unit strategic plans • Instill best in class policies, procedures, and plans for designated priority areas • Act independently to address issues and provide strategic analysis for the Aetna organization • Manage strategic programs and projects, delivering on key initiatives for the Aetna COO and senior leadership team • Partner with colleagues from across all lines of business, operational areas, and shared services teams • Evaluate program and project activities, build contingency plans, execute corrective action, and monitor issue resolution to mitigate risks • Audit processes and procedures for consistency, efficiency, and cost effectiveness • Guide junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring, providing functional but matrixed supervision for day-to-day activities

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years’ work experience in health care, insurance or related field
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in strategic program/project management
  • Over 3 years of experience leading teams through direct and matrixed management structures to achieve high‑performance outcomes
  • Proven ability to develop executive‑ready PowerPoint decks that distill complex information into clear, compelling, and visually engaging presentations
