Job Description

• Create efficient, maintainable, testable and reusable code. • Audit existing codebase to improve performance. • Provide hands-on technical mentorship and guidance to engineers. • Help set our technical direction, establish best practices, promote the use of AI tools & solutions, and ensure adherence to industry standards for software development. • Drive a culture of code excellence, promoting clean, robust, and testable code. • Conduct code reviews and implement processes to uphold coding standards. • Share ownership for the architectural decisions for the platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. • Develop features with security best-practices in mind. • Conceptualize and implement solutions for data storage. • Work closely with product managers and UX designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications. • Serve as a mentor and trainer for all other engineers, independent of experience level; spend a dedicated amount of time each week to 1:1s, code reviews, and/or general knowledge sharing. • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on developing newly designed systems.

Job Requirements

10+ years of experience in software development, with a substantial portion in building B2B SaaS products.
Proven ability to work in multiple programming languages simultaneously; to read, analyze, and optimize previously written code.
Proficient in relational databases and distributed systems.
Proficient in writing infrastructure as code with Helm and/or Terraform
Proficient in developing a public REST API.
Practical experience scaling systems in Kubernetes.
Experience integrating system monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, Sentry) to demonstrate high reliability and availability metrics.
