• Prepare structural drawing redlines for residential projects, including foundation plans, framing layouts, roof plans, shear wall configurations, and detailed structural notes. • Perform structural analysis for wood framing, conventionally reinforced slabs, post-tensioned slabs, CMU pier systems, and other common residential structural systems. • Coordinate with architects, builders, developers, and internal teams to clarify design intent and ensure constructability. • Review architectural drawings and develop efficient, cost-conscious structural layouts that support value engineering efforts. • Update structural plans to reflect field conditions, site changes, client requests, or revised project requirements. • Assist with schematic designs, preliminary framing concepts, and proposal exhibits when needed. • Ensure all plans adhere to relevant building codes, including IRC/IBC, City of Houston standards, and geotechnical recommendations.
