Job Description

• Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day tax systems and processes. • Provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key activities. • Lead the coordination and integration of efforts among accounting, tax, administrative support, and customer service teams to ensure smoother workflows and more cost-effective business processes. • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and international tax laws through established systems designed for accurate, timely reporting. • Provide innovative tax planning strategies and review complex income tax returns for both individual and business clients. • Manage and coordinate tax audits, working closely with the relevant internal partners. • Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulations, making appropriate updates to firm policies and client strategies. • Communicate the effects of these developments to the tax team, clients, and other members of management. • Work with the accounting team to maintain accurate tax balances on General Ledgers. • Assist with accounting and other special (some non-tax related) projects when necessary. • Work with the administrative team to oversee and properly safeguard all information data requests received from clients.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance
  • 5 + years of tax experience
  • Proven experience as a Tax Manager or similar role in a public accounting or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Expertise in providing tax planning and reviewing complex returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advisory skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate processes and strategies clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Experience with client engagement, particularly in managing workflows and expectations for service delivery.
  • Experience in developing and applying frameworks like the 4 Cs (Clear, Concise, Collaborative, Continuous) in operational settings is a plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
