Job Description
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to design backend systems and APIs
• Architect, develop, and operate Java services for millions of users
• Leverage Spotify’s data sets for creating recommendations
• Be a technical leader and contributor in an agile team
• Collaborate to solve problems and improve user recommendations
• Lead the Spotify-wide backend developer community
• Work on projects during hack days and hack weeks
Job Requirements
- experience working directly with stakeholders to understand, document and develop APIs and systems
- experience writing distributed, high-volume services
- interest in big data and machine learning systems
- love for working in an experimental environment
- belief that data is a powerful tool for decision-making
- deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
- care about quality and knowledge of shipping high-quality code
