Job Description

• Provide technology leadership for the transformation and lifecycle management of enterprise applications, directing the modernization of core banking, lending, corporate, and digital platforms while ensuring successful delivery of large-scale, mission-critical technology programs. • Serve as the primary technology partner to business leaders, ensuring strong alignment between technology strategy and organizational goals. • Define and execute multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps that optimize business outcomes and incorporate emerging trends, competitive insights, and industry best practices. • Champion innovation and advance the credit union’s use of artificial intelligence, identifying opportunities to enhance user experience, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. • Drive engineering excellence and solution delivery, ensuring architectures and implementations meet business requirements, scalability targets, performance goals, and security expectations. • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing applications and lead strategies to improve, consolidate, or enhance systems as needed. • Ensure seamless integration of new software and technologies into the enterprise environment, aligning with functional, compliance, and interoperability standards. • Identify and champion new technologies that improve availability, performance, maintainability, and cost efficiency. • Direct large-scale application development efforts, leveraging strong technical judgment, subject-matter expertise, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners. • Oversee feasibility studies, solution assessments, vendor evaluations, and procurement recommendations for software products and services. • Establish and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for application development, quality assurance, configuration management, and change control. • Ensure application reliability, stability, and resiliency through sound operational practices and proactive issue identification and resolution. • Develop and manage departmental budgets, resource plans, and operating forecasts. • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of directors, managers, engineers, analysts, and administrators, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. • Comply with all Federal regulations as they pertain to job duties, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience is Required.
  • 8+ years’ experience in people leadership of a mid-to-large sized organization is Required.
  • 10+ years’ related experience in technology roles within a credit union or banking institution is Required.
  • Prior experience leading transformational technology initiatives is Required.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional understanding of financial institution operations, regulatory expectations, and technology implications is Required.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise systems and applications, including architecture, integration patterns, development methodologies, and lifecycle management is Required.
