Job Description

• Provide interpretation within the State of Arizona to reach individuals with a language barrier. • Accurately interpreting spoken work situations like lectures, conversations, and meetings. • Utilizing technology to transcribe spoken English in some settings. • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

High School/BA Degree or equivalent in years of experience
Medical Interpreting Training School
Foreign Service Institute Certification
Commission for Healthcare Interpreters
Experience with State Department experience/ refugees, FDA, Health & Human services, Medical, Legal, Housing Authority etc.
3+ years of interpretation or translation experience in Ixil language
Must pass a background check.
Must possess problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.
