• Lead the annual budgeting process and support multi-year financial planning • Consolidate departmental budgets and align financial plans with strategic priorities • Monitor performance against budget, perform variance analysis, and recommend course corrections • Collaborate with program leaders to promote strong financial stewardship • Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar, including reporting deadlines and renewal cycles • Develop grant budgets for federal, state, and private funders in accordance with allowable cost guidelines • Oversee restricted funding compliance, including cost allocation, time tracking, and indirect cost recovery • Prepare accurate, timely financial reports for funders, leadership, and the board • Create and maintain financial dashboards to support program and executive decision-making • Conduct forecasting and scenario modeling for new initiatives and funding changes • Support annual audit preparation by providing schedules, documentation, and grant-related reporting • Improve and maintain budgeting and grant tracking systems • Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial procedures • Train staff on budget management and grant compliance to build organization-wide financial literacy
