Job Description

• Lead, manage, and mentor the quotation team for liquid-filled transformer products, to continue to improve product knowledge, responsiveness, and customer service. • Own and refine pricing strategy in alignment with market dynamics and customer needs. • Calculate and manage pricing indices based on commodity cost fluctuations. • Analyze quote win/loss trends to identify pricing opportunities and optimize success rates, with a focus on understanding, reporting, and working with engineering resources on quote declines/no-bids. • Conduct bill of material (BOM) cost analyses and comparisons to inform pricing decisions. • Maintain and manage pricing files and systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility. • Develop and implement strategic product configuration strategies that reduce size/weight while maintaining compliance with customer specifications. • Deliver clear, concise presentations of complex analysis to internal leadership. • Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to align pricing strategies with broader business goals, ensuring accurate and up-to-date cost inputs for quotations. • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end RFP response process, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive submissions, including maintaining a repository of RFP templates, standard language, and response collateral to streamline future submissions. • Conduct market and demand trend analysis to inform pricing strategies and customer engagement plans. • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to support new customer acquisition strategies and execution. • Drive process improvements across pricing and quotation workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Identify and implement automation solutions to streamline operations (e.g., front-end portal for capturing bid requests from customers). • Design and establish a standardized process for document repository and sharing to ensure accessibility and version control.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred)
  • Highly analytical, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with pricing and/or quotation (i.e., CPQ) tools, ERP, or data visualization platforms a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex data.
  • Prior experience in the transformer or utility industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Experience managing or leading teams.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and technologies for pricing and quotation workflows preferred.
  • Knowledge of front-end portal development or integration for customer bid submissions preferred.
  • Expertise in designing and managing document repositories and version control systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with CPQ platforms and ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong project management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives.
