Job Description
• Design and develop integration platform infrastructure - adapter layer APIs, event-driven systems, workflow orchestration engines.
• Lead technical decision-making on integration architecture patterns and API design.
• Build full-stack capabilities across backend integration services and frontend interfaces.
• Collaborate across Product, Sales, Tech Services, and Engineering teams to understand integration requirements.
• Own feature delivery from conception through production deployment.
• Debug and resolve complex integration issues: OAuth flows, webhook delivery failures, rate limiting scenarios.
• Establish technical standards and best practices for integration development through code review.
• Improve development workflows: CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies for third-party API interactions.
Job Requirements
- Strong backend experience with Ruby on Rails building production integration systems.
- Solid frontend skills with React and TypeScript.
- Experience with distributed systems like message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS).
- You've deployed and operated production services on AWS (Lambda, RDS, SQS, S3).
- PostgreSQL proficiency including schema design, query optimization, multi-tenant data handling.
- You've built APIs that other engineers use.
- Deep knowledge of integration mechanics like OAuth2 across different enterprise systems.
- Product sense for integrations.
- Track record shipping integration features end-to-end.
- You make teammates better through code review and sharing what you've learned.
- You use AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) to work faster and experiment with new capabilities.
