Job Description

We are looking for a Vendor Analyst to join our Rexel team Remote, TX!

Summary:
The Vendor Analyst is responsible for collecting information, performing analysis necessary to onboard direct and indirect vendors consistent with company policy. Monitors and maintains existing vendor base, making changes and updates consistent with policy and compliance guidelines. Will also perform or support other activities including but not limited to control of international suppliers or other Compliance actions (e.g. Conflict Minerals) as required by the business.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Set up trade vendors; domestic, international and distributor/agency sources. Includes Job Management set up, as well as Oracle, PIM, and Eclipse actions
  • Set up all indirect expense vendors in Oracle
  • Review supplier documents received for onboarding, especially Supplier Agreement and Certificate of Insurance for compliance. First level identification of unacceptable or unfavorable terms. Includes reviews requested by commercial teams of potential or new supplier documents
  • Maintenance of all Trade vendor activities in Eclipse. Establishment and editing of new Buylines, Pay Tos, Ship Froms, address changes, etc.
  • Maintain regular communication with branch and region teams when required to address issues with vendor onboarding, vendor notices or maintenance. Provide first level guidance to branch team’s issues involving Legal, Risk Management, Accounts Payable, or Finance
  • Review, redline, and coordinate return through the requesting branch of all vendor Credit Applications (Trade and Indirect)
  • Proficient use of JIRA workflow tool to collect and communicate onboarding and maintenance activity. Provide input on functioning and improvement of JIRA and underlying processes. Support training of new field users on JIRA platform
  • Establish accounts for all customer refunds
  • Process bank and remit to changes initiated by Accounts Payable, branch or vendor including cases which require the setup of new entities. Perform independent confirmation of all payment related changes with vendors consistent with company audit practices
  • Coordinate collection of supplier data with third party to produce Conflict Mineral CMRT. Respond to branch and direct customer inquiries regarding CM. First level direction for branches on other related compliance concerns (REACH, RoHS, etc.)
  • Provide Sales Tax exemption information to branches and initial direction on correct use
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years of purchasing/buying experience in the Electrical Distribution Industry
  • Inside Sales or project sales experience a plus
  • High School or GED - Required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic understanding of electrical distribution product and sales practices a plus
  • Understanding of accounting processes and practices
  • Ability to work with branch personnel and supplier representatives to address documentation or terms deficiencies or issues. Recognize potential risk issues with documentation, COIs, or tax information
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products and JIRA workflows
  • Effective communication skills with peers, branch, and region personnel
  • Solid mathematical skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend legal documents (e.g. terms and conditions)
