Job Description

• Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of PerkinElmer’s food testing instrumentation portfolio. • Create and execute a strategic territory business plan to drive revenue growth in food testing capital equipment. • Manage all aspects of territory ownership, including prospecting, relationship development, opportunity management, and deal closure. • Conduct effective customer presentations, demonstrations, and seminars. • Build and maintain a healthy sales funnel, provide accurate forecasts, and consistently convert opportunities into revenue to achieve quota. • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and ownership of results. • Travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel. • Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or a related technical field required.
  • 3–5 years of capital equipment sales experience.
  • Experience selling into the food testing or food processing industry preferred.
  • Proven ability to carry and achieve an annual sales quota of $2M or greater.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with large, strategic accounts.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and results-driven.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and retain technical information.
