About the role
Tint is seeking a Director, Livery Insurance Programs to lead the strategy, development, and growth of insurance solutions serving the livery market, including limousine, black car, executive transport, and fleet operators.
This leader will own the design and scaling of commercial auto insurance programs tailored to the Livery sector. - Program structure and architecture
- Underwriting guidelines and eligibility criteria
- Pricing and risk segmentation strategies
- Policy forms, filings, and regulatory compliance
- Build Carrier and Capacity Partnerships: Develop and manage strategic relationships with insurance carriers, MGAs, reinsurers, and brokers to secure sustainable capacity and competitive program structures.
- Expand Tint’s Presence in the Livery Ecosystem: Build relationships with leading transportation companies, fleet operators, and platforms in the Livery space to grow Tint’s customer base and develop new embedded insurance opportunities.
- Monitor Program Performance: Evaluate program performance across underwriting results, claims trends, and operational metrics, identifying opportunities to optimize profitability, risk management, and customer value.
- Serve as Industry Subject Matter Expert: Act as Tint’s internal and external expert on the Livery transportation market, monitoring regulatory developments, emerging risks, and evolving insurance models.
- Represent Tint in the Market: Engage with carriers, brokers, transportation companies, and industry groups to position Tint as a leader in innovative insurance solutions for the Livery industry.
You should apply if you have...
- Proven experience (5+ years) in commercial auto insurance with significant exposure to the Livery, chauffeur, limousine, or fleet transportation markets.
- Proven experience designing or launching insurance programs, including underwriting structures, filings, and carrier partnerships

- Experience working with insurance carriers, MGAs, brokers, and reinsurers to structure insurance programs
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and sales teams
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate market opportunities into scalable insurance solutions
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across carriers, partners, and internal teams
- Experience operating in fast-paced environments, including startups, MGAs, or program administrators
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with embedded insurance, program business, or digital insurance platforms
- Familiarity with fleet telematics, risk analytics, or usage-based insurance models
- Professional certifications such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a plus.

What We Value Most in a Candidate
- Culture is Key. Our team is remote first. We are a diverse, global team that works well together, even when we aren't in person. We are looking for self-motivated candidates who can stay motivated and focused. But don't worry, we're still social! We work collaboratively even though we are remote and travel to team and company retreats throughout the year.
- Focused on Results. We are a fast-moving small team with big goals. We need team players that feel a sense of urgency to drive meaningful results for the business. We have clear company goals and a pathway to significant growth - and this role is integral to that journey.
- Customer-first. Put yourself in the shoes of someone trying to buy our solution. We need a person who can empathize with our customers and help create strategies to continually improve the customer experience.
- Adaptability. We're still an early-stage start-up, and things change quickly. If you are energized by learning and discovering on-the-go, this will be an excellent fit for you. We are looking for open-minded candidates that adapt well to changing environments as our company grows and scales.

- Competitive Compensation. In addition to a competitive salary, you’ll receive equity as part of your offer. We’re all owners - when Tint succeeds, we all succeed! We also help you maximize your money by offering an FSA and a 401(k).
- Comprehensive Healthcare. Tint covers 100% of employee (and dependent!) premiums for medical, vision and dental.
- Company Retreats to Exciting Locations. We meet in person as a company twice a year to make sure we have time to connect in real life and get to have those conversations that are better done in person. These retreats are a mix of business and fun and we always choose a cool, central-ish location - think Barcelona, Playa del Carmen, Mallorca… Add on a few days of your flexible time off and you’ve *almost* got a free vacation somewhere cool!
