Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer – ServiceNow in Pleasanton, CA.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer - ServiceNow will create various catalog services for customers and fulfill requests either manually, semiautomated, or complete automated. Configure flow design for business services to accomplish business requirements. Create email templates, email scripts, email notification in order to trigger emails for requestor with respect to events, record insert/update, state complete/cancel. Create scripts including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI policies and data policies. Configure catalog client scripts, catalog UI policies and actions for catalog services. Manage configuration through update sets and migrate upstream using update source module. Implement REST/SOAP integrations with third party systems. Test and ensure all integrations work in conflict environments after every version upgrade. Track and resolve conflicts in code. Create catalog builder templates for stake holders. Create spokes, credentials using Integration-Hub available on Service-Now platform. Create ATF suites and test case for various services. Create Decision Tables, reusable subflows, and actions. Convert regular catalog services to conversations catalog services. Participate in daily calls, senior developer calls, retrospective calls, peer review calls, and Quarterly Product Planning (QPP) calls. Follow engineering coding best practices and ServiceNow coding best practices. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Intelligence and Analytics or Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a ServiceNow consultant, ServiceNow developer or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Intelligence and Analytics or Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a ServiceNow consultant, ServiceNow developer or related. Must possess 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience with all of the following: (a) ServiceNow development; (b) IT service management development; (c) creating scripts including business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and data policies with ServiceNow; (d) writing catalog client scrips and UI policies to make client-side changes with ServiceNow; (e) migrating code to upstream environments including Quality Analysis and Production using update sets; (f) creating catalog items and added items to categories in ServiceNow; (g) creating templates and email scripts for email notifications using ServiceNow; (h) creating workflows for approval processes in ServiceNow; (i) using access control lists to secure custom tables and applications in ServiceNow; and (j) utilizing all of the following: JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
