Job Description
• Develop, direct, plan and evaluate internal audit programs
• Audit information system applications to ensure that appropriate controls exist
• Evaluate security controls, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending improvements
• Perform IT audit and cybersecurity‑focused consulting engagements
• Apply professional IT audit concepts, cybersecurity frameworks, and established technologies
• Participate in audit planning, providing insights on technology risks
• Attend and conduct walkthroughs with Humana business and technology teams
• Identify control weaknesses, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations
• Prepare clear, actionable draft audit issues
• Recommend security‑focused improvements and follow through on corrective actions
• Collaborate with internal audit team members to align IT audit coverage
• Develop communication skills for effective discussion of security findings
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- At least 2 years of IT audit or consulting experience
- Successful track record in facilitating and consulting across teams and managing projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented; optimistic attitude
- Ability to manage multiple or competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Implementation and execution skills; critical thinking skills
- Aptitude for establishing working relationships with associates within the department and the business
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Self-starter; ability to work independently
- Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, PMP, CFE (preferred)
- Advanced degree preferred (preferred)
- Data Analytics / Business Intelligence experience a plus (preferred)
