Role Description
As Sr. Product Manager III for the M&S Product Team, one leads feature planning, backlog management, and execution alignment for a core modeling and simulation product team. This role serves as both the senior product owner for the team and a project management extension of program leadership. The position ensures that engineering execution, schedules, risks, and dependencies remain aligned with program milestones, operational priorities, and modernization objectives. This is a people manager role with direct responsibility for team coordination and cross-functional alignment.
What you’ll do:
- Support program leadership by maintaining visibility into team-level schedule, risks, dependencies, and resource needs.
- Coordinate deliverables with engineering and PMO, ensuring documentation, sprint goals, and prioritization align with program milestones.
- Prepare updates and briefings for PMO leadership including progress summaries, risk escalations, and cross-team impacts.
Qualifications
- Hold an active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- 10+ years product management experience.
- Strong requirements decomposition, backlog management, and team coordination.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, programmatic support, and leadership across engineering, test, and DevSecOps teams.
- Demonstrated experience providing project management support to program leadership including schedule tracking, dependency management, risk identification, and reporting.
- Ability to partner with the PM and Deputy PM to maintain alignment across product teams, PMO, engineering, and test.
Requirements

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $138,000 – $152,000, determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience.
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs.
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation.
This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses.
- Company-paid training and/or certifications.
- Referral bonuses.
