Role Description
Harmonia Holdings is seeking a skilled Database Developer to support a federal government client. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of complex database systems across all phases of the system development life cycle. The Database Programmer will develop and maintain database objects, support data integration efforts, and ensure adherence to database standards and government change control processes.
- Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex databases while providing technical solutions to projects which may be in different stages of the development life cycle.
- Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design.
- Requires knowledge and experience with multiple Oracle or SQL Server DBMS Languages.
- Ability to deliver O&M and system enhancement support by executing all phases of application programming activities.
- Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of database management.
Qualifications
- US citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Developer.
- Hands-on experience in developing complex database objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Writing generic PL/SQL code modules (PL/SQL libraries) for reports to handle data manipulations.
- Experience in Data loading, DDL Scripts, and Control Files for extracting data from simple flat text files and Excel files.
- Writing scripts to create tables, indexes, views, synonyms, grants, roles, and privileges.
- Knowledge of Toad for Oracle IDE, business requirements analysis, relational data modeling, technical writing/documentation, Oracle replication (materialized views, data marts), government change control processes, Excel, and GitHub.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Detailed documentation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Strong customer service/client-facing skills.
