Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects across Southern California. This role is responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through closeout while coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

This opportunity is ideal for a project manager who has experience working for a general contractor managing ground-up or major tenant improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through final completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking
  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure scope alignment
  • Manage subcontractor bids, buyouts, and contract negotiations
  • Track project progress and proactively resolve schedule or cost issues
  • Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams and external partners
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
  • Oversee change orders, RFIs, and submittals
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Experience working for a general contractor preferred
  • Background managing ground-up construction or large tenant improvement projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and project controls
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors and field teams
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
