Role Description
Join our IT team as a contract to hire Data Engineer III. The role requires deep technical expertise in data governance, engineering, and architecture, as well as a strong collaborative approach to solving complex data challenges. This role ensures that data systems are high-performing, secure, and aligned with business goals.
- Design and implement data orchestration processes.
- Develop data models and ensure data quality, security, and integrity across various data sources.
- Leverage Microsoft Azure Fabric and other tools to build and manage data lakes and real-time data streaming solutions.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval, ensuring efficient data processing.
- Implement best practices for data governance and security.
- Develop and optimize scalable data architectures and implement data-driven analytics solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a data engineer or in a related field working with ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate Certification or other similar certification.
- Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Solid programming experience with SQL and Python, with a proven track record in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows.
- Attention to detail, commitment to follow through, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, set priorities, and manage multiple projects and assignments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, demonstrate professional courage, and guide and influence others.
- Must be US Person per client requirements.

- Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks such as Spark.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance best practices.
