Role Description

We are seeking a fully remote junior-level engineer or intern who is eager to learn modern cloud and DevOps practices. You will work directly with a senior platform engineer to build and support a real production platform deployed on AWS and Kubernetes. The role will involve hands-on learning and execution, starting with basic operational and configuration tasks and growing into more complex responsibilities.

• Assist with day-to-day AWS operations.
• Help deploy Kubernetes workloads (deployments, services, ingress, namespace organization).
• Perform basic troubleshooting across services and AWS resources.
• Document technical processes.
• Participate in review sessions.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with AWS basics (EC2, IAM, EKS, Route53).
• Basic Kubernetes knowledge: pods, deployments, services, container concepts.
• Comfortable working in Linux terminals and with basic CLI tooling.
• Able to read YAML files.

Requirements

• Not afraid to ask questions.
• Able to work autonomously under direction from senior engineers.
• Wants career growth in DevOps, SRE, Cloud, or Platform Engineering.

Benefits

• Rate: $18–$20/hr.
• Hours: 10–15 hrs/week to start.
• Location: Fully Remote (US-based); US Citizens / Passport holders only due to government work.
