- Develop and optimize fraud strategies for the assigned loan portfolio to improve performance - reduce fraud losses while supporting receivables and revenue growth.
- Proactively analyze fraud trends at the granular level using fraud vendor data, credit bureau, and cash flow data to identify emerging trends and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Conduct A/B tests to reduce fraud risk, improve customer experience, and optimize profitability on acquisition initiatives.
- Operate as the subject matter expert in fraud and partner with Operations, Product, etc. to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Build automated dashboards and reporting to track key KPIs (e.g., fraud loss, approval and conversion performance) and communicate strategy impacts and insights to senior leadership.
- Work closely with the Modeling/Scoring team to develop new fraud strategies based on new fraud models to improve effectiveness of fraud control.
- Develop and enhance the reporting structure for assigned markets/products and channels, including developing/modifying scoring datasets/warehouse and monitoring reports.
- Utilize relational database and/or analytical programs to create data for analysis and monitoring of strategies and models.
- Forecast impact of strategy changes on key business performance metrics such as revenues, balances, and losses.
- Effectively coach and support teammates to identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence the direction of the business.
- Directly supervise one or more credit risk professionals.
Qualifications
- BS or higher in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Qualitative Social Science, Operation Management, Finance, Physics) or equivalent working experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in fraud risk analytics with strong knowledge in Financial Services, emphasizing risk management/analytics of personal loan or similar products.
- Advanced experience in SQL, SnowFlake, or relational databases.
- Working knowledge in Python, SAS, R, or other analytical tools preferred.
- Experience in Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, or other data visualization tools preferred.
- Solid analytical skills and an understanding of how to utilize data to target improvements, solve problems, and provide data-driven insights.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate analytical efforts to business results.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
Requirements
- Base Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 USD.
- The actual base salary offered will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.
