Job Description

This part-time internship is a remote role and will be 10-25 hours per week.  

Common Cause is seeking an intern to work with our Campaigns and Organizing team relating to election protection. The Election Protection Intern will play a key role in supporting our annual two-day internal Election Protection (EP) Seminar. This internship provides hands-on experience in program coordination, resource development, and stakeholder engagement within a fast-paced civic engagement environment.

Skills you will build and work you will be involved in:
  • Compile and organize Election Protection resources for staff, volunteers, and coalition partners
  •  Review materials and toolkits to ensure information is accurate, clear, and up to date
  • Help prepare training resources for distribution before the seminar
  •  Support the technical setup of virtual events and webinars
  • Manage virtual meeting tools, breakout rooms, and chat questions during sessions
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and help ensure sessions run smoothly
  • Track attendance and assist with note-taking during the seminar
  • Organize presentation slides, recordings, and resources after the event
  • Draft and send follow-up emails to participants
  • Support clear communication and resource sharing with staff, volunteers, and partners
