Role Description
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and detail-oriented Program Manager to own the full lifecycle of internal and external projects. This role will be responsible for translating high-level objectives into actionable plans and managing them through to completion by building out schedules, aligning stakeholders, and proactively identifying roadblocks to ensure projects are delivered reliably and on schedule.
This is the right role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and is excited to build and refine systems to ensure our program management practices are efficient, scalable, and adaptable. This role will report to the Senior Project Manager.
Core Responsibilities

Program Implementation (60%):
- Deliver high-impact experiences by serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of school, district, and nonprofit partners and managing the end-to-end execution of program implementations.
- Manage project timelines and implementation milestones, resulting in a positive student and facilitator experience.
- Lead regular partner meetings to build relationships, provide thought partnership, and ensure quality delivery.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide high-quality support to students and facilitators, ensuring questions are resolved quickly and feedback is synthesized to improve the overall user experience.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve partner materials (e.g., student engagement materials, toolkits, or onboarding resources).
- Lead and co-facilitate virtual and in-person trainings and Communities of Practice to ensure partners are prepared for program implementation.
- Coordinate partner-facing events, such as student pitch competitions or professional development workshops, to drive successful program implementation.
- Capture insights that help us improve learner and teacher experiences.
- Identify opportunities to expand partnerships and initiate renewal conversations to drive an 80% partner renewal rate.

Cross-team coordination and project management (30%):
- Operationalize organization goals by owning the planning, execution, and documentation of cross-functional projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, while collaborating with colleagues on different teams.
- Partner with team to define project scope, objectives, resources, and deliverables and manage project documentation.
- Craft clear project plans and track progress to ensure projects stay on track and within budgetary and other constraints.
- Proactively anticipate potential project roadblocks, identify and analyze risks early, and propose solutions before issues escalate.
- Facilitate clear communication across all project stakeholders, keeping everyone informed of progress, action items, and key decisions.

Special projects (10%):
- Working in close alignment with the Senior Project Manager, lead high priority projects that enhance our program’s reach and efficacy, such as architecting systems to increase team capacity or executing on emerging strategic priorities to help fulfill our organization’s goals and mission.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional work experience with a track record of success, ideally in program management, project management, or customer success.
- Excel in an ambiguous and dynamic environment and can effectively juggle multiple time-sensitive tasks at once.
- Proven track record of delivering successful customer implementations in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Experience facilitating professional development for adult learners.
- Strong communicator who is able to work across the team to move projects forward and communicate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exhibit a problem-solving mindset, a strong sense of curiosity, and a passion for building expertise quickly and staying up-to-date on the latest trends in education and learning technologies.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and project management, communication, and automation tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana, Notion, Zapier).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel (~10%) to attend team retreats, lead in-person facilitator workshops, and support high-stakes program events like student pitch competitions.
- Experience working on remote teams and in education, nonprofit, or social impact organizations is a plus.

Work Environment
Although our team works remotely, you are expected to engage in overnight travel at least 2x throughout the year to various US cities to meet up with other team members (in-person retreats, other program-related meetings and events), and be ready to play an active role in contributing to our collaborative, inclusive culture.
We’re looking for applicants who are comfortable working remotely and who have experience successfully collaborating with team members across different time zones. Your core working days and hours will be M-F from 8am-6pm, with the ability to flex according to workload, scheduled calls and in-person/virtual meetings.
