Job Description

Portable pizza ovens are the fastest-growing sector in the global outdoor cooking market, and Ooni stands alone at the forefront of this rapidly expanding market. That figures... y’know, since we invented them in the first place.

A Little About the Role:

We’re now entering an exciting new chapter in Ooni’s journey. As part of our growth strategy, we’re looking for a Senior Key Account Manager with a creative, team-oriented mindset to add to our roster.

This role will be responsible for building, managing, and growing relationships with Ooni’s largest and most strategic retail partners. Acting as a trusted advisor to key customers, you will drive both sell-in and sell-through performance by combining deep collaboration, data-driven insights, and strong execution. You will own the overall account strategy for assigned national accounts, leveraging POS data, forecasting, demand planning, and open-to-buy insights to influence joint business planning and long-term growth.

The Job:

Account Leadership & Relationship Management

  • Own and manage relationships with assigned national and strategic accounts at multiple levels, including merchant, buyer, planning, and replenishment teams

  • Establish Ooni as a trusted, value-added partner through consistent communication, proactive insights, and reliable execution

  • Lead regular business reviews, joint business planning, and strategic growth discussions

Sales Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute annual account plans aligned with company objectives and retailer priorities

  • Drive revenue growth through line reviews, new product launches, assortment optimization, and promotional planning

  • Identify whitespace opportunities within assortments, channels, and programs

  • Identify, evaluate, and open new account opportunities that align with North American brand values and long-term growth strategy.

  • Extensive experience managing eCommerce retail accounts with heavy digital and ecommerce presence, owning end-to-end online performance, including digital assortment, pricing architecture, promo execution, replenishment, and gross-to-net management.

  • Deep understanding of brick and mortar as well as eCommerce fundamentals, including digital shelf optimization for complex SKUs, availability and fulfillment performance, and lifecycle management for new item launches, resets, and discontinuations.

  • Proven track record driving profitable online growth by leveraging retail media, promo effectiveness analysis, and operational KPIs, while partnering cross-functionally with supply chain, category management, marketing, and finance teams.

  • Deep expertise in both eCommerce and brick-and-mortar retail, with a strong understanding of how customers research and shop across channels and the key drivers of success in both digital and in-store environments.

Data, Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze POS data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to sell-through, inventory, pricing, and promotions.

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for both internal teams and retail partners

  • Monitor KPIs, including sell-in vs. sell-through, inventory turns, weeks of supply, and forecast accuracy

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Partner with demand planning, supply chain, and finance teams to align forecasts with customer needs

  • Support retailer forecasting, open-to-buy planning, and inventory strategies to ensure optimal in-stock positions

  • Anticipate demand shifts and proactively manage risks related to inventory, fill rates, and service levels

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams, including marketing, operations, finance, demand planning, and product development

  • Ensure customer needs and feedback are clearly communicated internally and reflected in execution plans

  • Support retailer training, merchandising initiatives, and promotional execution as needed

Apply if you:

  • Have 6+ years of account management experience, with demonstrated success as a Key Account Manager, Senior Key Account Manager, or equivalent role leading complex, high-value accounts.

  • Consumer goods wholesale experience/knowledge preferred.

  • Bring significant experience managing strategic retail accounts with multiple stakeholders.

  • Are proficient in POS data, retail analytics platforms, and core commercial systems, including SPS, NetSuite, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace packages.

  • Have a strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, open-to-buy, and retail inventory management.

  • Have a proven track record of managing complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles

  • Demonstrated the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and drive mutually beneficial outcomes

  • Think strategically and are skilled at long-term account planning

  • Possess strong analytical and financial acumen

  • Excel in communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Are comfortable operating independently while collaborating cross-functionally

  • Are happy to travel as required (30%) to meet with accounts, attend events/tradeshows, and travel to our HQ in Austin, Texas.

  • Love pizza. (Okay, this one isn’t required, but it helps.)

Why Ooni:

  • Go to YouTube and search “We are Ooni”. We’re super proud of our culture and think you’ll love it here too. Here are some other reasons:

    • Work for an employer that cares about your wellbeing! We’ve got an employee assistance programme which includes on demand coaching and therapy sessions, plus a weekly yoga class

    • 35 days of paid time off per year (inclusive of public holidays), plus an additional 5 week sabbatical when you’ve been here for 5 years

    • $620 every year to spend on your passion – whatever that may be

    • Store credit to spend on Ooni products each year, plus 50% discount on any other Ooni stuff

    •  each year, plus 50% discount on any other Ooni stuff

    • We’re all about giving back. That’s why we offer five paid days to volunteer each year

    • Continuing Education - we encourage our employees to use our learning platform to grow here at Ooni

    • Great pizza every single day if you want it. Yep. Every single day. And we’ll teach you to become a pizza pro

If you like what you see, send in your CV with a cover letter to tell us why you want to come on board. We really love personalised letters so please don’t forget that bit.
