Study Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization. Our mission is to collaborate with institutions that promote educational equity, access, and success by providing a diverse range of tools for students, families, and educators.

Study Smart Tutors offers an array of college access courses at no cost to our students or their families. We are able to accomplish this by partnering with schools, outreach programs, and other college and career access organizations to provide efficient and effective college and career access programming and classroom-based test preparation.   

Position: Recruiting Coordinator

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Recruiting Coordinator. The Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment process for part-time tutors, ensuring seamless experiences for both candidates and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for connecting talented tutors with students in need.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Recruiting team to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies for part-time tutors aligning with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Proactively source and attract potential tutor candidates through various channels, including online job boards, social media platforms, educational institutions, and community outreach programs.
  3. Review tutor applications and resumes, conduct initial screenings, and shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and suitability for specific tutoring positions.
  4. Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient interview process.
  5. Conduct reference checks and background screenings for selected candidates to verify their credentials and suitability for employment.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records and documentation in the applicant tracking system (ATS) 
  7. Assist in the development and improvement of recruitment policies, procedures, and documentation to streamline the hiring process and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  8. Coordinate and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and information sessions to promote the company and attract potential tutor candidates.
  9. Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely updates, answering inquiries, and offering guidance as needed.
  10. Collaborate with the HR team and hiring managers to provide feedback and recommendations on the selection of tutors, ensuring the best match between candidates and student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR coordination preferred.
  • Availbility Mondays through Fridays between 8 AM to 5 PM CST.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse individuals.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) Paycor, or recruitment software is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and online collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of educational systems and tutoring practices is desirable but not required.
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
