Job Description

• Achieve Sales Goals: Deliver principals’ volume, share, and sales fundamental goals at the lowest possible cost while maximizing company revenue. • Strategic Communication: Communicate principals’ priorities to ensure in-store presence and business objectives are met. • Leadership & Reporting: Report directly to the General Manager or Team Leader, managing and participating in the development of Acosta introductions. • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with principals and customers, proactively communicating with key principals. • Team Collaboration: Coordinate ongoing communication and collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on major retail initiatives. • Market Insight: Coordinate principals’ market visits and key account calls, using knowledge of customer, market, and principal needs. • Strategic Utilization: Leverage insights to develop conceptual sales presentations. • Feedback & Improvement: Provide feedback on the effectiveness of strategies and recommend ways to improve business performance. • Information Management: Maintain current account distribution information and competitive trends. • Skill Development: Proactively manage personal skill development plan and share insights with team members. • Compliance & Financial Management: Ensure all procedures are followed and manage promotional plans and fund balances.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A proven track record in sales, preferably with a food broker or national company.
  • Experience with UNFI or in Deli category management is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales and marketing information to develop effective sales presentations.
  • Proficiency in software packages used to support the sales function.
  • Willingness to travel.
