This role is designed as a senior individual contributor with end-to-end ownership of pricing and deal economics, combining analytical rigor with sound commercial judgment in fast-moving, real-world decision environments. As a trusted advisor to Sales, Finance, Product, Clinical, and Executive Leadership, the Senior Manager is expected to operate with urgency, rigor, and a strong commercial mindset while scaling processes and insights to support rapid growth.

Primary Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy
- Develop and Own the Design, Governance, and Continuous Improvement of Pricing and Underwriting Frameworks for Mental Health and Wellness Products in a High-Growth Environment
- Independently Evaluate Complex Employer Group Profiles, Including Claims Experience, Utilization Trends, Demographics, and Risk Factors, to Form a Clear Underwriting Position and Recommended Pricing Approach
- Provide Final or Near-Final Underwriting Recommendations for New Business, Renewals, Exceptions, and Non-Standard or High-Risk Deals, Balancing Analytical Evidence with Informed Judgment Under Time Constraints
- Monitor Portfolio Performance, Loss Ratios, Margin Realization, and Medical and Behavioral Health Cost Trends; Proactively Recommend Pricing, Underwriting, or Product Adjustments to Protect Profitability
- Partner with Clinical, Network, and Product Teams as an Informed Consumer of Clinical and Utilization Insights, Embedding These Inputs into Financial and Underwriting Assumptions Rather than Owning Clinical Operations
- Own Deal-Level Financial Evaluation, Including Contribution Margin, Lifetime Value, Risk-Adjusted Returns, and Payback Analysis
- Partner with VP of FP&A to Align Pricing Decisions with Annual Operating Plans, Revenue Targets, and EBITDA Goals
- Support Long-Range Planning, Budget Cycles, and Investment Cases Through Utilization Forecasting, Scenario Modeling, and Sensitivity Analysis
- Advise Sales and Executive Leadership on Deal Structure, Pricing Concessions, Contract Terms, and Risk/Reward Tradeoffs in Competitive Situations
- Serve as a Core Analytical Partner to Sales Leadership on Pipeline Forecasting, Deal Probability, and Revenue Timing
- Own Commissions Calculations
- Analyze Pipeline Health, Pricing Realization, Conversion Rates, Churn, and Win/Loss Drivers to Improve Forecast Accuracy and Reduce Revenue Volatility
- Support Quota Setting and Capacity Planning Through Historical Performance Analysis, Market Assumptions, and Productivity Modeling
- Design and Maintain Standardized Deal Review, Approval, and Pricing Governance Processes that Enable Speed for Sales While Preserving Financial Discipline
- Deliver Executive-Ready Insights that Connect Pricing, Underwriting, and Commercial Performance to EBITDA and Value Creation
- Identify Opportunities to Improve Unit Economics, Reduce Risk Leakage, and Scale Profitable Growth Post-Acquisition or Through Add-Ons
- Support Strategic Initiatives Including New Product Launches, Market Expansion, Pricing Innovation, and Integration of Acquired Entities
- Act as a Senior Subject Matter Expert Across Pricing, Underwriting, and Commercial Analytics Operating with Influence and Credibility Without Formal People Management Responsibilities
- Ensure All Pricing, Underwriting, and Commercial Practices Meet Regulatory Requirements and Internal Governance Standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, or a Related Field
- 7–10+ Years of Experience Across Pricing, Underwriting, Commercial Finance, or FP&A
- Prefer Candidates with Demonstrated Exposure Usage-Based Pricing, or Risk-Adjusted Deal Evaluation, Particularly in Healthcare Software or Services
- Proven Experience Owning Complex, High-Impact Analyses and Making Defensible Recommendations in Ambiguous, Time-Sensitive Environments
- Advanced Excel Skills; Strong Experience with SQL and/or Analytical Tools (Python, R, BI Platforms)
- Strong Executive Communication Skills with the Ability to Influence Decisions Across Sales, Finance, and Leadership
- Experience in Private Equity–Backed, High-Growth, or Transformation Environments
- Prefer Candidates with Understanding of Employer-Based Healthcare Models, Utilization Dynamics, and Behavioral Health Services
- Prefer Background in Healthcare SaaS, Services, Behavioral Health, Managed Care, or EAP Organizations
- Experience with Self-Funded and Fully Insured Employer Arrangements
- Hands-On Experience with Revenue Forecasting, Quota Modeling, and Commercial Performance Metrics
- Prefer Working Knowledge of Healthcare Regulatory Frameworks (E.G., ERISA, HIPAA, Mental Health Parity)
- MBA, MPH, Actuarial Exams, or Relevant Professional Certifications (CPCU, ARM) are Helpful but Not Required; This is Not an Actuarial Ownership Role
