Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Director – Operations at Argano is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the company’s operational procedures, ensuring efficiency, quality and compliance.  This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize business processes. This role carries dual accountability: leading the Corporate Project Management team to ensure disciplined, on-time delivery of internal initiatives and assisting the SVP, Operations in planning, coordinating and executing enterprise-wide operational priorities. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s goals.  Translate the strategies into actionable operational plans with clear owners, milestones and success metrics.
  • Directly lead, develop and mentor the Corporate Project Management team, setting high standards for project governance, methodology and performance. 
  • Oversee the full portfolio of internal corporate projects, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated and projects are delivered on scope, on time and within budget
  • Manage and mentor all direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for process enhancements
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve communication
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to track operational performance and drive decision-making
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial health
  • Coordinate with IT to integrate technological advancements into operational processes
  • Report on operational performance to executive leadership and recommend improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, vendors and partners
  • Oversee the implementation of new projects and ensure their alignment with operational goals
  • Act as a trusted representative to the SVP, Operations; represent for Operations in meetings, working groups and cross-functional forums as delegated. 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
  • Advanced degree preferred

 

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the business and technology services industry
  • Proven track record of leading large teams and managing complex projects
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Strong background in process improvement and efficiency optimization

  • Project Management: Managing large-scale projects, utilizing project management tools and methodologies. Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing operational data to inform decisions. Creating detailed reports and presentations.  Using data analytics tools proficiently. 
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Managing departmental budgets. Forecasting financial performance. Implementing cost-savings initiatives
  • Technology Proficiency: Leveraging technology to improve operations. Proficient with ERP and CRM systems.
