Job Description

• Report solid line to the Proposal Engineering manager • Support GVH programs and initiatives, process development and documentation, process improvement and simplification • Partner with business teams to develop and present product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leads across GVH • Accountable for on-time delivery of design products within budget • Establish and maintain strong working relationship with other internal engineering teams, business leaders, project managers and stakeholders • Interface with external partners, customers, and other applicable country specific regulatory agencies, as required on technical issues • Work with Advanced Application and functional engineering teams to build estimates, schedules, manage change orders and responses to Corrective Actions • Coordinate engineering interfaces and drive timely resolution of technical project issues with multiple engineering disciplines, business project and product management, partners, subcontractors, and customers • Support the planning, organization, and management of the delivery of technical activities/tasks in support of engineering deliverables • Support the management of external resources to ensure the quality of deliverables, enable flexibility and improved cost positions • Support commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunities • Protect the Intellectual Property rights of GVH • Ensure adherence to GVH’s standards for nuclear safety and compliance

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related Science or technical discipline
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or project leadership experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using computer applications
  • Experience in word processing, presentation packages, databases, and spreadsheet packages
  • Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Adobe software to be able to create/modify PDF files
  • At least 2 years of experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large scale new build experience in the power or oil and gas industries
  • Proven ability to be a liaison between organizations that are operating in separate geographic locations
  • High performing individual with demonstrated ability to deliver results while exhibiting behaviors that promote strong team performance
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to think strategically, be creative and move quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple demands and priorities
  • High performing energetic leader with demonstrated ability to deliver results while exhibiting behaviors that promote strong team performance
  • Experience with project management skillset (communication, risk, planning/scheduling, change mgmt)
  • EPC experience and knowledge; specifically, power plant or other large-scale infrastructure
  • Understanding of nuclear industry and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business
