Role Description
McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst. As a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst, you will be exposed to different areas of McGraw Hill’s integrated Global Supply Chain organization, including:
- Forecasting and inventory planning
- Global sourcing and contract management
- Logistics optimization and management
- Product distribution and labor planning
- Project management
- Business process design and improvement
- Quality management
- Spend analysis
- Supply chain analytics
This position takes a leadership role within the Supply Chain Data Analytics team and is responsible for:
- Identifying, acquiring, analyzing, and distributing data in support of MHE’s Supply Chain Strategy
- Forecasting, Supply Planning, and Sourcing operations
- Taking a mentorship role with other analysts
- Consulting with functional teams as they collaborate with multiple business units and technical teams
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States, with options to work in our Columbus, Ohio, or New York offices roughly 10%-20% of the time. Candidates are preferred to live within 1 hour of commutable time to one of the offices.
What you will be doing:
- Creating and maintaining queries, data sets, and analysis to monitor supply chain performance
- Defining standards and coordinating analytics activities across business teams
- Conducting statistical analysis and developing machine learning methodologies
- Evaluating new automation and AI technologies and recommending solutions
- Designing and implementing automated analytics workflows and reporting tools
- Guiding other analysts in the planning and execution of analytics projects
- Supporting Demand & Supply Planners with forecasting and inventory analysis
- Performing ad-hoc/non-repetitive data analysis
- Preparing information for senior management on supply chain spend and metrics
- Participating in continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Science, or Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in a role with heavy emphasis on quantitative analysis and data analytics (Supply Chain and/or Finance experience preferred)
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience performing business intelligence, data warehousing, data mining, modeling, and data analysis work using SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, etc.
- Demonstrated experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Demonstrated experience using Power Automate, PowerApps, and AI tools
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to lead and manage data-related projects efficiently
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to analyze, interpret, and synthesize large data sets with limited direction
- Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns and trends, and provide actionable insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as a leadership member of a team
Benefits
- The pay range for this position is between $62,000 - $92,000 annually, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location
