Role Description
The Senior Solution Consultant, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management (F&SCM), leads functional workstreams from discovery through go-live and post go-live support. This role translates business needs into fit for purpose configuration, functional design, documentation, testing, and training that align to the approved solution design.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders within assigned functional areas.
- Partner closely with the Solution Architect, Program Manager, and technical team members.
- Mentor Solution Consultants through successful delivery.
- Deliver exceptional client service and take ownership of outcomes.
- Escalate cross-workstream design decisions with clear options and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM solution implementation experience.
- 5+ years of industry and/or consulting experience.
- Strong understanding of software implementation life cycle, project management, business process management, requirements definition, functional design, quality management, and change management.
- Strong Financial module experience with an accounting background.
- Experience with Supply Chain Management module.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Microsoft Office 365 experience.
Requirements
- Lead requirements workshops, process mapping, and fit gap analysis for assigned modules and business processes.
- Translate requirements into functional designs and configuration decisions aligned to the approved solution design and project scope.
- Own functional delivery plans for assigned workstream, including activities, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment.
- Identify scope change, risks, and downstream impacts early; communicate clearly and escalate with recommended paths forward.
- Configure Dynamics 365 F&SCM for assigned scope using Arctic IT standards, repeatable patterns, and Microsoft recommended practices.
- Develop and maintain functional design artifacts, including functional requirements, functional design specifications, configuration workbooks, and decision logs.
- Partner with technical resources on extensions and integrations; validate that delivered functionality meets functional intent and aligns with approved design.
- Support solution governance by flagging deviations from approved design and coordinating review with the Solution Architect.
- Define functional requirements for data migration, including mapping, validation rules, data quality expectations, and cutover timing.
- Support data conversion activities using approved tools and patterns; validate outcomes with business users.
- Own test execution for assigned workstream, including test case development, scenario coverage, defect triage, and retest validation.
- Prepare and support user acceptance testing, including UAT scripts, facilitation, and sign off criteria for assigned scope.
- Develop role-based training materials and deliver training through one-on-one, webinar, and classroom formats as appropriate.
- Coach users through end-to-end business scenarios to drive adoption and operational readiness.
- Support pre-sales activities as needed, including discovery workshops, demonstrations, scope clarification, and estimate inputs.
- Mentor Solution Consultants through requirements, design, configuration, documentation, and client facilitation practices.
- Own configuration and process recommendations within assigned workstream scope, ensuring traceability from requirements to design and testing.
