Schedule: Full-Time | Overnight Shift
Hours: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM EST (6:00 PM – 3:00 AM PST)

Position Overview
The Night Dispatcher plays a critical role in supporting our Dry Van and Expedited operations during overnight hours. This position is responsible for tracking shipments, assisting drivers with pickups and deliveries, communicating with customers and facilities, and ensuring loads move according to schedule.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate with drivers to assist with night-time pickups, deliveries, and any operational issues.
- Perform Track & Trace activities using GPS systems, phone, and email.
- Enter and manage load information in the Transportation Management System (TMS), including commodity details, temperature requirements, and special instructions.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments through online portals, email, and phone communication with shipping and receiving facilities.
- Communicate shipment updates and resolve issues with customers via email.
- Prepare and distribute Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping documentation as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams including sales, account management, and carrier sales to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Identify and resolve service issues such as delays, appointment conflicts, and OS&D (overage, shortage, and damage) situations.
- Respond to operational requests and support customer needs during overnight hours.
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight transportation and shipment coordination.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
