Overview
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Litigation Support Staff role supports the Legal team in managing subpoena responses and assisting with e-discovery processes. This position will play a key role in handling subpoena matters from intake through production, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
LOCATION
- This role can sit 100% remote.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review subpoenas and related legal filings to ensure compliance with applicable legal processes
- Gather responsive documents from internal systems
- Load and organize documents within the company’s review and production platforms
- Produce responsive materials to subpoenaing parties in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external parties regarding document requests
- Identify and flag potentially privileged or sensitive materials for further legal review
- Utilize internal systems, including SmartView, to retrieve transaction files and related records
- Gain working knowledge of Relativity and assist with document review and production workflows
- Process collected documents into Relativity, manage workspace organization, apply redactions, and generate production sets
- Perform quality control review prior to production to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper application of redaction
- Support broader e-discovery initiatives, including review and production projects
- Adapt to increasing volume as additional offices transition into this phased process expansion
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
- Experience working with internal file systems or document retrieval processes
- Ability to manage multiple requests with strong attention to detail and organization
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working within structured legal or compliance processes
- Ability to learn and navigate internal systems, including SmartView
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with SmartView and/or Relativity
- Prior exposure to subpoena processing or document production workflows
- Background in Claims, Paralegal, or Escrow, environments
- Familiarity with e-discovery processes (e.g., document review, productions)
- Legal background or experience identifying potentially privileged materials
- Experience with OCR and applying redaction.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This position has the potential to earn compensation in the range of $30.00 - $45.000 hourly based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. Actual rate may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location. The base compensation is one component of the total rewards package offered to our employees, including optional health and welfare insurance (medical/dental/vision/life/disability); paid holidays, vacation, and sick time off; and matching 401(k) plan and matching employee stock purchase plan.
