Role Description

Chargebase is a new product by Spendbase focused on automating chargeback operations and helping companies recover lost revenue from payment disputes. We help businesses fight fraudulent transactions, manage disputes more efficiently, and win more chargebacks without the manual chaos. As we scale this direction, we’re looking for a Sales Lead who will take ownership of the sales motion for Chargebase — building pipeline, closing key deals, and shaping how the product goes to market.

If you enjoy building sales from the ground up, owning deals end-to-end, and shaping how a product grows, you’ll enjoy this role :)

  • Own the sales pipeline and revenue growth for Chargebase
  • Run the full sales cycle: qualification → demo → negotiation → closed-won
  • Convert inbound leads from marketing, partnerships, and events
  • Generate outbound opportunities within defined ICPs
  • Run discovery to understand clients’ dispute flows, tools, volumes, and pain points
  • Deliver product demos tailored to different merchant types and payment setups
  • Clearly explain the value of automated chargeback workflows
  • Build and refine repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and pipeline structure
  • Track pipeline health, deal progress, and revenue performance
  • Work closely with product, compliance, and partnerships teams to bring customer insights into the product
  • Become the internal chargeback and disputes expert

As the product scales, you will also:

  • Help design the sales structure and hiring plan
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding future sales team members
  • Mentor and support new reps as the team grows

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years in B2B sales, ideally in fintech, payments, or SaaS
  • Strong experience owning full-cycle deals and pipeline generation
  • Understanding of payments, fraud, chargebacks, or dispute workflows is a strong advantage
  • Experience selling to payments, risk, fraud, FinOps, or support teams
  • Ability to structure and improve sales processes
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics for customers
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, resourceful, and results-driven
  • B2+/C1 English is a must

Requirements

  • Experience with chargeback or fraud tools (nice to have)
  • Understanding of Visa / Mastercard dispute processes and reason codes (nice to have)
  • Experience launching new products or revenue streams (nice to have)
  • Early-stage startup experience (nice to have)
