Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance software solutions. In this role, you will lead complex projects, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and implement robust solutions. You will contribute to end-to-end feature development, ensuring systems are interoperable, maintainable, and performant. • Design, develop, and implement core application features and system components.
• Lead tasking sessions and provide high-level design, estimates, and guidance for complex projects.
• Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges, identifying risks, roadblocks, and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to refine requirements and ensure robust implementation.
• Establish and maintain high coding standards, ensuring system performance, maintainability, and interoperability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle, with 5+ years in a senior or staff-level role.
• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent in Computer Science or related field; coding bootcamp or equivalent experience accepted.
• Strong expertise in Java and end-to-end feature development.
• Experience designing and building complex systems, preferably in healthcare technology.
• Familiarity with healthcare data formats such as HL7 and FHIR is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical decisions, lead projects, and mentor team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong collaboration abilities.
