A well-established structural component manufacturer is looking to bring on an experienced truss designer to help support growing demand. The company specializes in custom residential and lake home construction, working closely with builders and architects on complex projects.
They are open to remote designers with strong experience, though local candidates are also welcome.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design roof and floor truss systems using MiTek software
- Interpret architectural plans and develop truss layouts
- Work on custom residential homes and unique structures
- Collaborate with builders, architects, and internal production teams
- Ensure designs meet engineering standards and building codes
- Assist with solving design challenges on complex projects
Qualifications
- 8+ years of truss design experience
- Strong proficiency in MiTek
- Experience designing roof and floor trusses
- Background working with custom residential construction
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication skills
