Role Description

This role provides a strategic leadership opportunity to shape high-impact investment and product decisions at an enterprise level. The Portfolio Analysis Director will evaluate and prioritize initiatives across a complex product portfolio, driving long-term value creation and growth. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including R&D, commercial, operations, finance, and executive leadership—you will translate complex data into actionable insights, financial models, and executive recommendations. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, highly analytical environment and enjoys influencing high-stakes decisions that impact the company’s direction and innovation roadmap. The role offers the chance to collaborate with leaders, guide strategic prioritization, and play a key part in shaping the future of diagnostic solutions.

  • Develop frameworks for opportunity assessment and portfolio evaluation to support long-term strategic planning and 5-year roadmap initiatives.
  • Synthesize data across market intelligence, R&D, product strategy, operations, finance, and analytics teams to provide a holistic view of the portfolio.
  • Evaluate strategic options including product development, evidence generation, and infrastructure investments, balancing risk, return, timing, and strategic alignment.
  • Build and maintain enterprise financial models (DCF, NPV, IRR, scenario analysis) to quantify potential ROI and long-term value creation for key initiatives.
  • Support portfolio prioritization decisions and recommend project sequencing based on strategic, financial, and operational considerations.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, translating complex financial and strategic information into actionable recommendations for leadership and board discussions.
  • Collaborate with investor relations and finance teams to align portfolio decisions with external and internal expectations, including long-range planning and annual strategy processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a STEM-related field; MBA or CFA highly preferred.
  • 4–7 years of experience in investment banking (healthcare focus), private equity, corporate strategy, or strategic portfolio planning.
  • Expert-level proficiency in complex financial modeling, valuation techniques, and scenario analysis.
  • Strong strategic thinking, structured problem-solving, and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive or board-level stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with diagnostics, life sciences, biotech, or healthcare industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of product development lifecycles, regulatory pathways, and reimbursement processes in diagnostics or healthcare settings.
  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguous or incomplete data and to influence cross-functional teams and executives.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
  • Fully remote work flexibility within the United States.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement savings plans with employer contributions (e.g., 401(k) match).
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and personal leave.
  • Professional development opportunities and support for continuing education or certifications.
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven culture with exposure to strategic decision-making and enterprise-level initiatives.
